Cibervoluntarios at RightsCon 2021: the leading global summit to shape the future of Human Rights and Technology
Fundación Cibervoluntarios will add its two decades of experience driving digital transformation with social impact at the tenth edition of RightsCon, to be held from 7 to 11 June. A world-leading event on Human Rights in the digital age, which on this occasion will be held entirely online, gathering more than 10,000 participants from over 150 countries. Until 6pm today, anyone can register for free for RightsCon 2021.
Specifically, Cibervoluntarios will be represented by Ester Maestro, Director of European Programs of the foundation, who will participate in the Community Lab of the World Wide Web Foundation 'Building best practices for governments, businesses and civil society to shape the Web we want'. This will take place on Wednesday, June 9, between 13.45 and 14.45. Maestro will focus on boosting digital skills among seniors and how to solve global challenges through the empodera.org collective social innovation platform.
RightsCon brings together every year over a thousand speakers from around the world to promote more than 500 online sessions, in which participants interact with each other and with experts in each field, present their doubts and can create ad hoc spaces for dialogue, all with total security and accessibility, thanks to the RightsCon platform itself.

Since the first RightsCon in 2011, this global event has addressed the future of Human Rights and technology in different summits in the five continents, dealing with issues such as Internet health, the regulation of online platforms, how to combat hate speech, Human Rights in Artificial Intelligence and digital identity.
